  1. I love this man. Too bad standardized testing is still the norm in Canada. I stood out in the cold with our teachers during their strike against these measures. It's been all down hill from there. The "new" curriculum and the plethora of "testing" has diminished the joy of learning, penalized every child not fitting the "box" and caused some of our most brilliant teachers to leave the profession. I would welcome another teacher push back on these measures.

  2. Alfie,
I totally agree with your homework statement. In France small children go to school from 8:30 - 4:00 p.m. or later. Nothing is done to build their self esteem; everyone should fit in the same box. Teachers are told what to teach by the Ministry of Education and they push these study programs down our children's throat with no regard for the individual.

France is one of the worst countries for Education in the world.
