Failing our kids

When assessment is more about data, ranking & sorting, judging, accountability, measuring, filtering, evaluating, gate-keeping, rewarding, punishing, competing, raising the bar, closing the gap, norm referencing, bell curving, number crunching...

...we fail our kids more than we could ever imagine.

    I am glad I found your blog! I will be following you! How wonderful that you have found a way to assess and not grade. That is something that I only wish would be a possibility, but I don't think I could convince my leadership.

    I did teach at a school that had a "no homework" policy. I learned alot about what really matters with our assignments. Very eye-opening!

    I will be following you! Thanks for visual to keep educators primed with passion for our kids and not our tests!

    Re: the comic- The sensible thing to do if you were participating in that obstacle course would be to run around the obstacles.
